Elmton, St. Peter

Elmton, St. Peter

A Grade II listed building, St. Peter's is one of the few 18th century churches in Derbyshire.  The original medieval church was completely rebuilt in 1771-73, although the tower was never completed.

In the church there is a painting of Jedidiah Buxton, the 18th century arithmetical genius, who lived in Elmton.
